Eggceptionally Healthier Eggnog

We're still managing to get our holiday workouts in when we can, but we're also enjoying the traditional festivities. Hope everyone is having a happy and healthy holiday season so far! Drink lots of water and take it easy on the eggnog, mama! And if you are going to over-indulge in the eggnog, try this healthier version:



  • 2 cups almond milk

  • 3 egg whites

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Place the ingredients in a blender and blend until consistency is smooth.

  2. Pour the eggnog into a pot and warm over medium-low heat for 15 minutes to cook the egg. Do not boil. Continue to whisk to avoid a boil.

  3. Remove from heat and when cooled, set the pot in the fridge overnight.

  4. By the next morning the liquid should have thickened. Now blend with a whisk.

  5. Add a bit more milk until you reach the consistency you enjoy if you find it was too thick in the morning.

  6. Pour into pretty glasses, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!
