You Won’t Believe Where I see Myself in 5 years

Once I read this quote that said, ‘if you’re ever in search for inspiration to look at your own reflection’. I believe it so much because so much power lies within! As we’ve all been grated with the gift of time this year being at home due to the pandemic, I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflection; I’ve been digging deep to really understand who I am and where I want to go. Since announcing my recent departure from the corporate world I’ve been faced with the question, ‘Now what?’ more than I expected. Okay, so maybe it’s me asking myself this, but still. Now what?

This post I’m opening up about where I see myself 5 years from now. Even if no one reads this, I am putting this out there so that I can make sure to come back to it down the road. It’s all about accountability, right?

In Five Years

Who even knows what ‘social media’ will be like in 2025, but I’m sure there will be more ways to connect and more ways to ‘show up’. It is not a secret, but only the authentic and unique will come out strong over time. So will I still be posting on social media and still have my blog in 5 years? My answer is yes. BUT I plan to also be doing so much more.

I am currently working on launching some free webinars this fall followed by a 90-day health + business virtual series in the new year. It will include teachings from various experts and will provide an opportunity for mothers and entrepreneurs to learn from each other and work together to rise up even stronger! If this sounds like something you might be interested in hearing more about in the coming months, you can sign up here for more info with no further commitment.

Okay, but what else?

In 2020 I put it out there that I would coach two women 1:1 to personally help them achieve their goals, whether that be in fitness, motherhood and business. It was such a fun and rewarding experience! When NTM was created 6 years ago it started with only one-on-one coaching that was focused on fitness and nutrition. Over time this changed, but now I see myself going back to this, however, with a different approach and open mind. I still want to help women be happier and healthier mamas, but I want to focus more on MENTAL FITNESS. Today more than ever, I believe that strengthening your mind is the foundation to becoming the best version of you. So in 5 years I see myself doing a lot more of this type of 1:1 coaching! In addition to this, if all goes well with 2021’s 90-day virtual series, I would like to continue to launch one every year bringing in different experts and personalities.

In 5 years, I also see our podcast winning one award! Yup, I’m putting all the good vibes out there. It has been a slow start, but it is a project that Harper and I are passionate about and I believe will blossom over time.

Speaking of Harper and her being the little star that she is, I am confident that in 2025 Harper, Noa and I will be recording more mother/child meditations to help spread the positivity that mindfulness brings our family to yours.

Furthermore, in 5 years I hope to have launched one wellness retreat (either locally or somewhere in the Caribbean if things ever go back to normal). This was something I imagined doing and was actually considering this year, but then covid happened! The purpose of this short 3-day retreat is to help mothers reconnect with themselves again, connect with others, to expand their learning about health/wellness/fitness and to simply dedicate time to the self-care that us mothers need and deserve.

In 2025, I hope that this is when my family will have started the tradition to spend one month every summer in another country learning all there is to learn about its culture. In fact, this has been my dream for many years. I am determined to make this happen. Next stop: Thailand.

I know as the years go by we will grow stronger as a family. We will slow down a bit more, but continue to be living here in the city of Toronto. We plan to do a lot more traveling with the girls because experiencing the world with them and making memories is really my biggest goal of all!

Dream Big

I realize after re-reading what I just wrote that it’s a lot that I have put out to accomplish in 5 years. I better get moving to make it happen because this is where I truly see myself in 2025! With that said, it only seems right to end this post by reminding you and most importantly myself: “IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT!”
